When the weather turns cold in Cody country, we turn to the ski trails. We've got years of experience coaching, grooming, and enjoying cross country and backcountry skiing and we're here to help you have a great day on the snow!
No matter your level of experience, we have ski lessons you’ll enjoy. As always, we’re first and foremost focused on safety and making sure you have a great and memorable experience. We’re extremely familiar with our local trails and eager to share them with others!

Gradient Mountain Sports is an equal opportunity provider operating under a Special Use Permit with the Shoshone National Forest Service on trails maintained by the Park County Nordic Ski Association.
SMALL GROUP LESSONS
($40/person)
Learn to cross-country ski with us at the majestic East Gate to Yellowstone National Park. These small group lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate skiers. We offer both classic and skate techniques. Each session starts with the basics and covers equipment selection and fit before heading out on the trails to work on technique in a relaxed and fun environment.
Max 6 people. Duration approximately 1.5 hours. All lessons take place on the Park County Nordic Ski Association trails at Pahaska Tepee.

PRIVATE LESSONS
($50/session)
Looking for specialized one-on-one instruction to hone your classic or skate technique? Join us for a private lesson to help you ski more efficiently for longer distances and duration. Lessons include equipment review, basic waxing advice, and technique filming to provide personalized feedback. Each lesson is catered to the student to help them accomplish their goals and have a great time gliding on the snow.

Duration approximately 1.5 hours. All lessons take place on the Park County Nordic Ski Association trails at Pahaska Tepee.

BACKCOUNTRY TOURING
($150/person)
Ready to head off trail and see where your skis can take you? Join us for a fun and safe day learning how to navigate the backcountry. We'll cover proper gear selection and fit, how to evaluate snow conditions, and proper route selection for a safe outing while exploring the pristine backcountry around Yellowstone's East Entrance.
All ski abilities are welcome; each trip is customized to the group's interests and skill level. Participants must provide their own touring gear (boots, skis, skins, poles, beacon, etc.) Contact us for help lining up equipment. Max 5 people. Duration approximately 4-5 hours.
